Loved this book, it's a shame that flash and cs 3 is a past thing. The gaming theory never expires.
I only have good things to say about this book. The author does an excellent job explaining his methodologies and the amount of topics he covers is unprecedented. All the code he provides is excellent and works flawlessly and he doesn't miss a single detail when he explains and breaks down his code step by step. I devoured this book in 2 weeks and now im actually starting to build my own tile based platform game. Anyone serious who wants to get into game design with Flash should definitely pick up this book hands down! If your a beginner with flash i would not recommend this book but if you have at least an AS2 programming background, like i did, then your good to go :]

I own a lot of AS3 Book's, and by far this is the most advanced one that I own. It is very good and very detailed with all sorts of advanced subjects. I highly recommend it.Note: This isn't a book for beginners in Action Script 3.0.
If you are just getting into developing Flash Games, then this book will teach you a solid foundation in the basics. It also shows how the basics can be built upon to create very nice casual games and educational learning software.
The product was as described and the shipping was fast.
This book is great. It approaches game programming and OOP principals like Model View Controller, inheritance, encapsulation is such a way that you'll learn easily. Each concept is introduced by first creating a need for a solution and then presenting (right at the time you are ready to absorb it) the concept that will be the solution.
Everything I expected from this book. Easy to follow and great highly applicable game concepts
