I could not stop reading this from the time it was released! Highly recommended. In this book Amy's relationships with Damon, her Hunter of supranational beings, and Vincent, who is a vampire in a blood bond with her. Develop further. Amy investigation into the black magic growing in her town is linked to serial killer of young woman. So many things are answered; some things are more complex and new responsibilities for Amy. Such a great continuation of the Fatal Assure series.
I love all of the supernatural creatures in these books. Story flows very Weill, good character description. And a twist with Amy, Vincent and Damon I didn't see coming.
This series is one of my favorites. Will Amy have to decide between Vincent and Damon? Will they survive the upcoming battle?Can't wait to find out
I can get enough of this series and all of her books. Martha Woods is very good with mixing romance with action. There is not to much sex in the book to take over.
Getting more extreme and discovering new things and new ways to love.Can't wait for the finale! It has to explosive in more ways than one!

Only being placed in a limbo/purgatory called the Abyss can save Vincent's life.I admired the new villain (really Elric in disguise), Matthew/ Alvin Quick, who is able to confuse Amy and get her suspended from duty again, when she still isn't believed about the impending doom of mankind and the existence of the supernatural world, which is all that can save them.As an actor he's adept at playing the part of anyone he wants to be, which is why he can also 'be' his alter-ego, Alvin Quick, the politician who would be 'king'.Meanwhile, Damon's gone into a decline after he and Amy try to be intimate and can't because of her bond with Vincent! The poor lad's wasting away and only Amy can save him - though Alexis the vampire witch can't wait to take her place in Damon's arms.Amy's boss Rick, on the other hand is starting to get on my nerves! He supposedly trained and mentored Amy, yet refuses to accept she's the top of her career (mainly due to her psychic abilities) or that though impulsive she usually finds evidence to further or even conclude a case, when he and the rest of the department seem clueless, yet he suspends her at the drop of a hat, giving her detractors within her office ammunition to take her down, just because she makes them look bad. He punishes her for not telling the whole truth about her supernatural abilities and friends/enemies by locking her in a cell and giving her 48 hours to give it up - yet no doubt will disbelieve her yet again if she did! He seems like a non-character and I'm wondering why he's still in the series!As the climax draws ever-nearer (in all senses of the word!), you won't want to miss a single page of this unputdownable magical mystery tour, that will make all your fantasies come true! Ok I truly love the way this story is going.. And now that I see the possibility that Amy can be with them both, I’m all for her to go for it.. I really love Vincent, he is so awesome and he is just right and now that Damon gots his head on straight.. I just can’t stop reading these books.. Ok now I’m off to read book #7...
